RPU™ risk profile


RPU is the underwriting assessment that derives its knowledge by leveraging computer network assessements, loss control hardware/software with internal security practices. The RPU practice identifies the vulnerabilities in information rich areas so IPDI data insurance can be underwritten.

Required Practice Underwriting (RPU) prerequisite is an evolving approach based on the principle that acquiring detailed knowledge and experience of applicable risks to determine insurance for a clients digital risk and the appropriate mitigating measures. RPU is the underwriting step in the Digital Risk Analysis path to a Client's Risk Profile. The RPU is groundwork underwriting for measuring exposure to client data loss, data handling liability and insuring business continuity for a client in a specific industry.

Digital Risk Analysis is the comprehensive authentication and risk valuation process to understand the digital risk appetite of the customer. The RPU and the CloudCover Risk Profile are the proprietary sub-group matrix within the risk-rate provisions for understanding a client's industry exposures to data risk.

CloudCover Risk Profile (CRP) is the assessment of a customer’s communication infrastructure within the Digital Risk Analysis. The CloudCover Risk Profile (CRP) identifies the customer's network security posture and provides a ‘digital risk signature’ concerning the customer's compliance to government industry regulations and potential online risks.
